Juneau Lake Cabin

This post is rather old but thought I'd share anyway :) Way back in January, when we had at least some snow on the ground, we headed down to Juneau lake cabin on Resurrection Pass with 6 other people.  It was about a two hour drive south of Anchorage and then another 7 miles to the actual cabin via trail.  We headed out with a variety of winter activities/transportation including the snow machines, fat tire bikes and cross country skiis.   The weekend started with 3 snow machines but it quickly dropped down to 1working machine... but we all managed to get to the cabin and had a great time!

This cabin sits up on a hill looking down over the lake.  We had a gorgeous view and it was a beautiful blue bird day.  Once we were somewhat settled in the cabin and had a fire going, we all headed back down to the lake to play.  I brought my skis with me to get around since the lake was wide open, the boys drove the [one remaining] snow machine around and they even set up some fishing poles.

It was just a fun and relaxing night away from Anchorage.  It was the one and only time we've been able to do that this winter since we haven't been getting any snow [sorry Midwest...]
